Controversies Involving Twentieth-Century Pioneers in American Geology: J. L. Rich and W. H. Bucher: A Personal Perspective
Page Range: 146 – 155
Many geologists are followers of scientific fashion, and/or the narrow fashionability of science. A group of self-serving reviewers reinforces its existing opinions, and explains to students and journalists that their evaluation is what counts. Such narrow views generate controversies. The controversies of which I wish to report involve those relating to J. L. Rich and W. H. Bucher.
