The Krakatoa Event and Associated Phenomena: A Historical Review
Page Range: 199 – 206
Various aspects of atmospheric phenomena relating to the Krakatoa volcanic eruption in 1883 are briefly described and some of the highlights in the literature are pointed out. This event was a milestone in atmospheric physics (noctilucent clouds, twilight phenomena) and caused world-wide atmospheric pollution.
